This is a beautiful bell, and the final word when it comes to bicycle bells. As a Musicology major, I am very partial to sound and asthetic. The bell rings at a very loud clear tone (F6 on a piano keyboard, mine is almost bang on tune) and will resonate for upwards of 15 seconds with a solid strike. This is a really phenominal piece of equipment, a true instrument. Given this as an option, why one would be compelled to purchase any other bell for their bicycle is beyond me.

This bell is the only one being sold with a cap nut holding the bell on. All of the others I can find from Soma have a rivet on top and the sound cannot be adjusted!! Popz

We tried cheaper bells with plastic parts - they break easily. These Brass Bells are all sturdy metal and the ring tone is Fabulous!!! This model has a larger pinger and the bell has a deeper tone. The other model has a smaller, but more durable pinger and the bell has a higher ring tone. It is hard to see how anyone would be disappointed with theses bells.
